Community Development officer says dry weather conditions should not deter residents from competition

Community Development Field Officer Sharon Dalso is
encouraging residents not to let the country’s dry conditions
deter them from participating in the Annual Community Gardens
and Beautification Competition.

She encourages persons to be creative despite the drought, and
notes that the greater the number of participants, the more likely
it is that others will follow suit.

Dalso adds that the judges are cognisant of the dry weather
conditions and therefore will take them into account when they
make their assessments in May and October.

If many individuals participate, she explains, the ripple effect will
result in a beautiful country where horticulture flourishes.
