Two stones to Creekside woman’s windshield prompt malicious damage investigation

Police investigations are ongoing into two cases of malicious
damage – of a car and a boat – over the weekend

A Creekside resident reported to the Police that he arrived home
just before 6 pm on Friday, April 5, and heard a loud sound
outside shortly after.

Upon investigation, he realised that the rear windscreen of his
mother’s Toyota Corolla was broken, and it appeared that two
stones had been used to cause the damage.

Meanwhile, a Belmont resident reported damage to the lock of his
boat, which was docked at Point Wharf, between 2 pm on Friday
and 6:30 am on Saturday.

According to police reports, the boat owner returned to the 16-
foot vessel on Saturday and discovered the damage, which
allegedly was caused by the use of a hard implement.
Nothing was reported stolen in either case.
