Stolen ambulance is recovered and thief detained by police after heist from All Saints Road repair shop; government pick-up truck still missing

Two government vehicles reportedly have been stolen and a man has been
detained in relation to one of the incidents.

It is alleged that a man stole an ambulance from a garage on the weekend.
Reports say he took off in the emergency vehicle, which, at the time, was being
repaired at a shop located off the All Saints Road.

However, the vehicle was recovered by officers attached to the Willikies Police
Station on Monday afternoon, May 6, and the Police were able to detain and
arrest the man, who remains in their custody being questioned.

Meanwhile, reports say that a Toyota Hilux pick-up was taken from the
compound of the All Saints Fire Station, and officers are now seeking the
public’s assistance in recovering the stolen vehicle.

It is alleged that the truck, registration number G1511, was taken between 1
a.m. and 5 a.m. on Sunday, May 5.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the vehicle, or who might
have seen it, is asked to contact the nearest police station.
