Fall-out among family members results in nephew allegedly wounding
uncle in the head with a shovel

A middle-aged man was recently wounded in the head with a shovel, allegedly
at the hands of his nephew.

Reports say the 50-year-old Fort Road man, whose alias is “Rocker Man,” went
to the Liberta Police Station with a bleeding wound to the head and
complained that his injury had been inflicted by a relative, a Liberta villager.

This incident reportedly occurred on May 2, at about 3:30 p.m., at Ball Beef,
Liberta.

It is alleged that – a few months prior to this incident – the nephew had asked
the older man to write him a job letter that would help him to acquire a United
States visa.

However, the alleged offender later made a Facebook post that prompted his
uncle to go to Liberta and inquire about his behaviour.  An argument ensued
and the Fort Road man and his relatives fell into an altercation during which
his nephew reportedly inflicted the head wound with a shovel.

An initial search was carried out for the alleged offender, but without success.
