Police retrieve over $250k worth of cannabis from a water heater at the Deep Water
Law enforcement and Customs officials have made a significant
drug bust at the Deep Water Harbour.
The operation, carried out on Tuesday, April 2, yielded cannabis
valued at an estimated $255,000.
Police reports indicate that officers from the Narcotics
Department and Customs Enforcement Unit carried out the joint
drug operation at about12:30 p.m. that day.
A grey water heater was taken to Police Headquarters and a
search of the appliance revealed the 42.5 pounds of a “greenish
bushy substance” concealed inside.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
