German tourist pronounced dead after wife discovers his body floating in Long Bay

Another sudden death – this one of a German cruise passenger – is
under investigation by the Police, after the man’s body was found
floating in Long Bay on Tuesday, March 5.

Reports say that, shortly after midday, the 57-year-old German was
rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he was
pronounced dead.

It is alleged that he was discovered unresponsive, floating face-
down in the water, by his wife.

It is further alleged that, after arriving at the beach via a catamaran,
the tourist had had a few drinks before his body was found.

The deceased and his wife, according to reports, had arrived in
Antigua and Barbuda that morning on a cruise ship.

Other media reports alleged that the deceased had been facing
chronic health challenges. However, a post mortem must be
conducted on the body to determine the exact cause of his death.
