Investigation of PM Browne’s backdoor vaccination is being pursued here and in the USA, says UPP’s Wehner
The illegal vaccination of Prime Minister Gaston Browne is not a matter the United Progressive Party is prepared to let rest, and the Party is receiving legal advice on the way forward.
This was revealed by Mobilization Officer George Wehner, who says this matter will be pursued not only in Antigua and Barbuda, but in the United States, as well.
Wehner says he has been in meetings with nationals in the United States, who are working from that end –from the State level in Pennsylvania to the Federal level – as they take certain action with regard to the scandal.
Wehner is very critical of the Prime Minister’s backdoor vaccination, and that he implicated a number of affluent persons, including the Head of State, the Governor General.
Meanwhile, Wehner addresses the issue of a foreign doctor being allowed to practice medicine here without the requisite licences, while a well-known local, Dr. Jose Humphreys, is barred from making a living in the profession.
And, Wehner notes, Humphreys has never been accused of malpractice. Instead, all his patients can attest to his professionalism and his love for medicine and people.
In the meantime, Prime Minister Gaston Browne denies that he has done anything wrong.
He admits receiving the Moderna vaccine while the drug was under embargo by the United States. However, he says the person from whom he got it was a US citizen, and therefore entitled to have had the drug in his possession.
