Female bodybuilder Kimberly Ephraim is named an Ambassador at Large and sees title as an inspiration to sport

Bodybuilder Kimberly Ephraim Percival is expressing excitement at the honour just bestowed upon her by the Cabinet.

Percival, who recently competed in an International Body Building Competition held in Spain, was invited to meet with the Executive on Wednesday, October 13, and was accompanied by her husband, Bernard Percival, Jr.

Kimberly emerged the first-place winner in that competition and Minister of Tourism Charles “Max” Fernandez agreed that she would be an asset to this country’s global promotion programme.

Therefore, it was proposed that she be conferred the title of Ambassador-at-Large and provided with a diplomatic passport.

Kimberly sees the honour as not only of benefit to her, but as a motivatation to other members of the body-building fraternity to do their best at all times.

Kimberly says she does not know what will come along with her new title, but she will be doing all in her power to ensure that she pushes her sport.

She has been involved in the sport since 2012 and actively competing and volunteering, while also serving on the local and regional executive.

Kimberly started out modeling, but says she signed up with a gym to keep active, and was later encouraged to throw her hat into the body-building ring.

When she started out in the sport, she says she did not see it blossoming to this level.
