Pringle asks whether audited accounts for National Housing exist and whether misbehavior is at root of certain transfers

Jamale Pringle, MP for All Saints East and St. Luke, has used
“The People’s Parliament” to call on the Browne Administration,
once again, to make public the audited financial accounts for
National Housing.

Former MP Lennox Weston has accused the housing scheme of
“burning money;” and, reportedly, no accounts for this statutory
body have ever been tabled in Parliament.

During his presentation to a packed audience at Freedom Hall
and to hundreds viewing online, on July 18, Pringle said he is still
awaiting the audited reports for this statutory entity and is now
wondering whether these records actually exist.

He said that taxpayers need to know how much money was spent
on labour and building materials and on the procurement of
heavy-duty equipment.

Meanwhile, the Opposition leader reported that certain officials
had been removed and replaced at National Housing and he
wonders whether any misbehavior in public office took place.

Pringle is calling on the public to join the United Progressive Party
(UPP) in its fight to hold the Browne Administration accountable
for monies that have been spent and are being
spent.

He says the people must not allow the Government to increase
taxes without first giving such an account.
