Early-morning stick-up in St. Johnstons Village nets bandits only ‘small change’ and victim’s ID cards

After robbing a St. Johnstons Village man, armed bandits managed to
get away with only $25 and the victim’s ID cards.

Reports say the Hispanic man went to the Criminal Investigations
Department (CID) and reported that he had been robbed by two
masked gunmen, at about 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 25.
The victim claimed he had been walking in the village when a grey
Toyota Vitz, with no license plate, pulled up alongside him.

He alleged that two masked men, dressed in black, alighted from the
vehicle, brandishing guns and demanding money.

Allegedly, the gunmen searched the victim’s knapsack, which
contained the money, and stole his Social Security card and his
Dominican Republic driver’s license.

The alleged robbers then sped off in an easterly direction.

A search was carried out for the motor vehicle and the assailants in
the immediate and neighbouring communities but without success.
