Yorks resident assaulted and robbed of $1,800 in his own yard at daybreak

Armed and masked robbers have struck again, this time in the Yorks
community, making off with $1,800 and the keys to a Noah van.

Reports say that three bandits pounced on a 60-year-old man,
moments after he arrived home.

The victim says he drove into his yard and parked his Toyota Noah,
registration C13874, on the northern side of his house. Reportedly,
he was still inside his vehicle when he saw the masked gunmen
running into his yard and pointing their guns at him.

As the victim tried to exit the van, one of the men pushed on the
driver’s door. The alleged robber then took the man out of the
vehicle while the other two placed a gun on each side of his neck. He
then took the cash and the car keys from the victim.

During the incident, one of the bandits struck the man on the left
side of his face with a gun, before all three fled the scene in a small
grey motor car.

The victim made a report of the incident to the Criminal
Investigations Department (CID) and an investigation is now
actively underway.

The victim had to seek medical attention for injuries sustained by
being gun-butted.

Two of the masked men are said to be about 5’ 8” tall, of a slim build,
dark in complexion, and were dressed in long jeans, dark-coloured
shirts. and used other such shirts to conceal their identity.

The other masked man also was dressed in dark-coloured jeans and
is said to be about 6’ 2” inches in height. He is also of a slim build,
fair in complexion, and had a black shirt over his face.

Allegedly, all of the gunmen spoke with Antiguan accents.

Searches were carried out for the alleged robbers, but without
success.

This offence reportedly occurred at about 5:25 a.m. on Saturday,
November 25.
