MP Simon and UPP St. Mary’s South Branch to host townhall meeting next Thursday on infrastructure, water, health and other issues

A community townhall meeting is on the cards for St. Mary’s South
(SMS) next Thursday, November 23, when MP Kelvin “Simon” Simon
and his United Progressive Party (UPP) colleagues will address the
many election projects that have not been completed and lay out
plans for the constituency.

The event is being hosted by the UPP SMS Branch and will take place
at the Bolans Primary School.

According to the recently re-elected Simon, “Constituents are being
invited to share their thoughts and ideas on issues affecting our
community.”

Up for discussion are the community’s health, education, and
recreational facilities; its infrastructure; the water crisis;
unemployment and job availability; and the rising cost of living –
with no relief from the Browne Administration, but a likely 2%
increase in the ABST.

Simon, other MPs and several members of the UPP’s Redeem Team
will speak with the audience on these issues.
Johnathan Joseph.

The townhall meeting will be live-streamed so that residents of
other constituencies and members of the Diaspora can be part of the
event.

Simon says this type of outreach will help foster connections,  drive
positive change, and spark hope that a brighter future is possible for
all.
