Second shooting in 24 hours leaves victim in stable condition while female companion is shaken by the ordeal

Another shooting incident in just over 24 hours is keeping the Police
busy, as, once again, they are again in search of the perpetrators.

This most recent incident occurred on Sunday, September 4, at
about 11 p.m., in the Yeptons area. It left a 58-year-old Bendals man
hospitalized and nursing injuries to his shoulder.

It is alleged that the man and a female companion were parked in
the area when an unidentified car pulled up alongside his vehicle.

Reports say the man started his car in an attempt to leave, but the
other vehicle allegedly reversed and blocked his path. The occupant
then opened fire on the car in which the man and woman sat.

At least two rounds reportedly were discharged at the vehicle, one
of which struck the middle-aged man in the right shoulder. The
shooter then fled from the area.

Following the attack, and after reporting the matter to the Police, the
injured man decided to drive himself to the hospital. However, he
reportedly was met on the way by lawmen and the Emergency
Medical Service (EMS).

Reportedly, the man’s condition is serious, but he is said to be stable
at this time. And while the woman was not injured, reports say she
was visibly shaken by the ordeal.

The Police say they are actively pursuing certain leads, and they are
asking anyone with information on this most recent shooting to
contact the nearest station.
