Woman reports that she ran off ex-boyfriend by discharging licensed firearm

A Montrulla woman apparently was forced to discharge several
rounds from her licensed firearm, after her ex-boyfriend violated a
restraining order and attacked her current partner.

This incident reportedly occurred at about 3 a.m. on January 1,
2024, and the 34-year-old woman went to the All Saints Police
Station and made the report.

Allegedly, the woman was at home with her current boyfriend, aged
30, of Montrulla, when she saw certain movements.

She reportedly reviewed her surveillance cameras and noticed a
male figure – fitting the description of the alleged offender –
trespassing on her property. Reportedly, the man was dressed
entirely in dark clothing.

As a result, her boyfriend went outside to ask why he was there.
However, he and the intruder got into an altercation and a scuffle
ensued between the two.

During the melee, the woman – who had been observing the
confrontation – noticed that her ex was attempting to reach into his
waist for what appeared to be a weapon.

Accordingly, she reportedly fired off six rounds of ammunition from
her licensed firearm, which caused her ex to flee from the scene.

The Police were called to the scene to conduct investigations, and a
search of the surrounding areas and property was carried out;
however, no damage to persons or property had been sustained.

They went looking for the intruder, as well, but he was not found.
Neither were the spent shells.
