Arguments end in a shooting to the face in one instance and a firearm injury to the face in another

Violent incidents of crime continue to inspire fear in residents,
especially those involving firearms.

Reports say the Police are on the hunt for a man who is alleged to
have shot another man in the face during an altercation late Sunday,
March 24.

The victim had to be rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre,
where he remains recovering and receiving treatment.

It is alleged that the two were involved in a heated argument on
lower All Saints Road, when one went to his vehicle and retrieved a
gun, which he used to shoot the victim in his face before driving
from the scene.

Video footage in circulation shows the injured man being helped by
onlookers, who were still in shock over what had happened
It is alleged that the incident was witnessed by pedestrians and
motorists, who expressed disbelief at the wanton disregard for life
by the perpetrator.

Meanwhile, there was another wounding incident near the V.C. Bird
bust at the market, and this was reported to the Criminal
Investigations Department (CID) by a 911 operator.

Reportedly, a young man was injured at about 3:15 a.m. on
Saturday, March 23, when he was struck in the face.
The 21-year-old Hatton resident had to be transported to the
Emergency Room for treatment, as he allegedly had sustained a
bleeding wound over the left eye.

Reportedly the victim had been involved in an altercation with a
young man he knows only as “Quan,” and the alleged offender had
used a firearm to strike him in the face.

The Hatton youth had to undergo a CT scan to determine the
severity of the injury.

A search for the perpetrator by the Police came up empty, but
inquiries into this incident are continuing.
