Prisoner escapes from ‘compromised’ cell but is found next day at his mother’s Villa home

A manhunt has been called off for an inmate with alleged mental
issues who had escaped from His Majesty’s Prison.

Reports are that Josh Joyce had been placed on remand by Acting
Chief Magistrate Dexter Wason for larceny, receiving and unlawful
possession.

Apparently he has been behind bars and awaiting trial since July 17.
However, after escaping from the penal facility on Wednesday night,
August 30 – through what one media outlet calls a compromised
opening in his holding cell – he was found on Thursday morning,
August 31, in Villa.

Reportedly he was at his mother’s home, and was taken back into
custody where he could be charged with escaping lawful custody.
