Twelve-year-old girl missing since Wednesday and search of school and environs fails to find her; public’s help is sought

An urgent appeal is being made for assistance in locating a 12-year-
old girl who has been missing for the past two days.

The family of Kira Bright is seeking information on her
whereabouts, since she was last seen on January 24 at 7 a.m.

The Police and Youth Intervention Unit reportedly are searching for
the Grays Farm pre-teen, who was last spotted in her Ottos
Comprehensive School uniform near King George V Grounds on
Wednesday.

Kira’s mother – a resident of George Street, Grays Farm – reported
the minor missing at the Grays Farm Police Station, saying she had
last seen her on the way to school, at the stoplight near the playing
field.

Up to the time her mother made the report – at 10:40 p.m. on
January 24 – she had not returned home or been seen.

Reports say the Police carried out a search of the Ottos
Comprehensive School, the surrounding areas, and in the district for
Kira, but without success.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the
Grays Farm Police Station at 462-0481.
