Caribana committee acknowledges sponsors’ role in staging festival and is pleased and proud of event’s success

Following the successful staging of Barbuda’s Caribana 2024, dubbed “A
Celebration of Culture and Community,” organizers are already looking ahead
to an even more spectacular event next year, 2025.

The five-day event opened on Thursday, May 6, and ended on Whit Monday,
May 20, with a jou’vert and other activities.

The Barbuda Caribana organizing committee is elated that its hard work in
planning the event was successful, as the festivities – particularly the vibrant
parade and the captivating calypso show – were brought to life.

Coordinator Matthew John is expressing sincere thanks, on behalf of the
committee, for the sponsors’ generous contributions, which provided the
financial backbone of the event.

Because the Government provided only a small sum to the Barbuda Council
for staging the annual festival, he acknowledges that the sponsors’ role in
making the event possible was pivotal.

The work and dedication of the committee were evident in the seamless and
unforgettable experiences created for the audiences, including visitors from
Antigua, sources say.

And basking in the glow of another successful festival, John confirms that
many people experienced the vibrancy, unity, and pride that Caribana
represents.

Live coverage of the events by ABS Television and another local radio station
captured the energy and excitement of the festivities and ensured that the
spirit of Caribana was shared with audiences across the Nation.

Reflecting on the success of this year’s celebration, the committee says it is
looking forward to making next year’s Caribana even bigger and better, as it
continues uplifting, participating, and honouring Caribana traditions and
Barbudan culture.
