Man reportedly injured by youth during altercation in The Point; wounds are not life-threatening, doctors say

Police are investigating the wounding of a Point man on the weekend.

The 62-year-old man received injuries to his forehead, allegedly inflicted by a youth identified only as “Spani” 

Police saw the victim at the hospital’s Emergency Room, where he reportedly had blood streaming down his face.

Reportedly, the man was involved in an altercation with the youth, who inflicted injuries to his face and then left the scene.

The victim’s injuries are not life threatening; however, because they are to the forehead, doctors said he should be kept for observation and he should undergo further medical examinations, including an X-Ray.

Further reports say that a number of persons in The Point community were interviewed by the Police, and some useful information to assist them with their investigations was obtained.

The wounding incident reportedly occurred at about 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 12.
