Victim robbed and wounded on Barbuda, but Police fail to find alleged perpetrator

The Police continue to probe an aggravated robbery that reportedly
took place on the sister-island recently.

Sources tell REAL News that a nurse at the Hanna Thomas Hospital
telephoned the Barbuda Police Station one day last week and
reported that a man had arrived at the Emergency Room with
injuries.

Allegedly, the victim reported that he had been robbed and beaten
by a young man and had sustained a wound to the forehead.

It is alleged that the perpetrator had robbed him of his wallet, which
contained his government-issued IDs and his debit card.

The victim was seen by doctors, determined to be in stable
condition, and was treated and discharged.

An initial search was carried out for the alleged offender but he was
not found.
