Police apprehend escaped prisoner Joyce in Bolans after he
spends two days on the lam

Two days after escaping the confines of His Majesty’s Prison, Josh
Joyce of Villa was recaptured.

Law-enforcement officers conducted searches for the escaped
inmate – who had fled from the Coronation Road penal facility last
Friday, December 8, at about 8:45 a.m. – and allegedly apprehended
him in the village of Bolans.

Reports say that officers caught Joyce, who is alleged to be mentally
challenged, at about 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 10.

The Police and prison officials had solicited the public’s assistance in
locating the fugitive, as earlier searches for him had proven futile.

It is expected that Joyce will be handed over to prison officials and
face charges of escaping lawful custody, which he was able to do by
allegedly scaling the prison wall.

He had been placed on remand at the penal facility for receiving
stolen items.
