Joint interdiction exercise reaps big haul of cannabis, worth $240k, at the Deep Water Harbour

Close to a quarter-million dollars’ worth of cannabis was seized by
the Police during a joint drug-interdiction exercise at the Deep
Water Harbour on December 5.

Reports say that officers attached to the Narcotics Department went
to the location at about 10:45 a.m. that day, and during the exercise
– carried out with the Customs Enforcement Unit – a blue barrel
with the illegal drug was found.

The barrel allegedly contained 40 pounds of the controlled drug
cannabis, which carries an estimated street value of $240,000.
