Teenage girl caught up in police search of Clare Hall home that nets unlicensed firearm, ammunition, and cannabis

Two people were arrested by the police, one of whom was a teenage
girl, on suspicion of possession of an unlicensed firearm.
 
Reports are that a 21-year-old Clare Hall man and the 16-year-old
female were taken into custody after officers executed a search
warrant at the man’s home.
 
Further reports are that officers, including from the Criminal
Investigation Department (CID) and K-9 Unit, went to the home at
about 4:50 a.m. on November 21, with a warrant, to search for illegal
items.
 
The teenage girl was present while the warrant was being executed.
 
During the search, a firearm containing one matching magazine,
along with several matching rounds of ammunition; a quantity
of cannabis; one cell phone; and a black holster were found. 
 
The man and the teenager were arrested and taken to the St.  John’s
Police Station along with the items found.
 
Reportedly, the man was fined a large sum of money after being
charged and taken before a magistrate.
