Missing teen with baby is found, medically checked, counseled, and returned unharmed to grandparents’ home

The teenager and her baby who were reported missing are now
safely back home, unharmed.

The 18-year-old and her four-month-old baby were located at about
10:55 a.m. on Monday, September 25, after a missing person’s
report had been filed at the All Saints Police Station the previous
day.

Reports say the Seaview Farm woman and her infant were both
taken to the Glanvilles Polyclinic, where they were examined by a
medical doctor, and are said to be in good health.

Additionally, the young woman was seen by a police counselor and
subsequently transported to her home by officers attached to the All
Saints Police Station.

The initial report of her disappearance from home was made by her
mother, a Hatton resident, to the Criminal Investigations
Department (CID), which then notified officers at All Saints.

Reports are that the teenager and her infant are living in Seaview
Farm with her grandparents. Her grandmother had last seen them
at about 10 a.m. on Saturday, but when she returned home that
afternoon, at about 1 p.m., the young mother and child were gone.
Her relatives said they had tried reaching her by cell phone, but
their calls had gone unanswered.

The young woman was said to be suffering from post partum
depression. And on learning of their disappearance, many persons
had taken to social media to express concern and pray for the safe
return of the pair.
