More than 60 marijuana-laced products shipped from the USA are seized at LIAT cargo bay

A quantity of marijuana-laced products, valued at almost $10,000,
has been confiscated after being seized at the V.C. Bird International
Airport.
 
According to reports, officers attached to the Narcotics Department,
K9 Unit, and the Customs Enforcement Unit conducted a joint drug-
interdiction exercise on September 22, at about 12:15 p.m., at the
LIAT warehouse cargo bay.
 

During the operation, a brown cardboard box, shipped from the
USA, was searched, and several products made with marijuana were
found and seized.
 
They included soaps, rolling paper, candy, lemonade mix, roll-on gel,
and chronic hemp.
 
The more than 60 marijuana-laced products reportedly were
concealed among other items.
 
The box, along with its contents, was taken to Police Headquarters
for further investigation purposes.
 
Reports say the items carry an estimated street value of $9,500.
