Prof. C. Justin Robinson, new principal and pro vice-chancellor of The UWI-FI, takes up appointments today, August 1

The University of the West Indies has appointed a new campus
principal and pro vice-chancellor to the Five Islands campus:
Professor C. Justin Robinson.

These appointments follow the recent departure of Professor Densil
A. Williams.

Professor Robinson, who will serve as pro vice-chancellor for
academics, industry partnerships, and planning, will hold the
positions for a three-year period. His appointment takes effect
today, August 1.

A national of St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Professor Robinson
holds a Bachelor’s degree in management studies, a Master’s degree
in finance and econometrics, and a Ph.D. in finance.

According to his CV, he is widely published in a number of regional
and international journals; and in his more than 20 years with The
UWI has served in several senior positions, also assisting in the
establishment of the Five Islands campus.

Meanwhile, Professor Williams, who left Antigua and Barbuda in 
July, takes up his new appointment, today, as principal of the Mona
campus in Jamaica.
