Human remains found at Diamonds Estate belong to a different missing person and the Police got it wrong, source says

The human remains found on Monday, June 19, in the area of
Diamonds Estate, will confirm one murder – but not of the person
the Police first suspected, an inside source alleges.

While several families were waiting for the authorities to determine
the identity of the decomposing corpse, one family in particular had
been told to brace for the worst news.

Now, word reaching REAL News is that – having gotten sight of the
remains and the articles of clothing found with the body – that
family has said definitively that the dead male is not their relative.

Rather, the source tells our Newsroom, all the evidence – in
particular, the clothing and hairstyle of the deceased person – points
to the corpse being that of another young man who went missing at
a later date.

The source did not give permission for our Newsroom to publish the
details of the identification, preferring to wait for the Police to
rectify their error.

The mistake was made, the source says, because the latter report
“was not taken seriously,” and so the discrepancies between this
corpse and the person that officers expected it to be were
overlooked.

Although the remains have been confirmed to be those of a male, the
Police said, earlier, they will have to undergo forensic analysis to
confirm the person’s identity.
