Nine new virus cases mark highest three-day count in weeks; Ministry of health urges residents to take precautions
Residents are being reminded to continue taking precautions since the COVID-19 pandemic is still around, and as the country confirms nine new cases, the highest three-day number recorded in weeks.
The most recent report from the Ministry of Health reveals that new cases are as of Monday, March 21.
According to the Ministry, one positive case was recorded on Friday, March 18; four on Saturday, March 19; and four on Monday, March 21. These cases were realized from 283 samples processed at the hospital.
There were six recovered cases recorded, as well. There are no hospitalizations.
At present, the total number of lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is 7,482, which is inclusive of six active cases.
Meanwhile, many people are continuing to wear their masks and following the other existing protocols, even though the mandates have been relaxed.
The infection rate in other parts of the world continues to rise and this country is seeing a significant number of visitors from affected places.
