WestJet’s return this weekend will be greeted with water salute and ribbon-cutting by Tourism bodies

WestJet will be making its return to Antigua and Barbuda on Sunday, November 21, according to Tourism officials.  This will be WestJet’s first landing at V.C. Bird International since the pandemic began affecting the country in March 2020.

To commemorate the occasion, the Ministry of Tourism, the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, and the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority will host a welcome ceremony at the airport.

The flight is expected to arrive at 3:05 p.m. and will be greeted with a water-cannon salute. A ribbon-cutting and brief welcome ceremony will follow shortly after passengers disembark the aircraft.
