Following the report of only one new infection on Friday, March 12, the Ministry of Health released a dashboard on Monday night that showed 20 new lab-confirmed cases. These bring the country’s COVID-19 total to 983, as of 6 p.m. on March 13.

These latest confirmations came from samples sent to Mount St. John Medical Centre, which processed 26, and the Caribbean Public Health Agency, which tested 100.

The recovered cases are now at 598, while the active cases stand at 358.

Meanwhile, a resident is asking whether these recent results includesamples from inmates at Her Majesty’s Prison, where an outbreak of the virus has taken place.

Some 32 inmates have been confirmed as having the virus, with most being placed in an isolation facility on the prison’s compound.
