Intense fire at a ‘gentleman’s club’ takes double effort to contain, but structure could not be saved

The cause of a fire that completely destroyed The Boardroom, “the Premium
Gentleman’s Club,” is currently under investigation.

Reportedly, the structure was burned to the ground, leaving behind fallen
galvanize, concrete slabs, and a wall supporting the sign that bears the name
of the establishment.

It is alleged that firefighters from the Johnsons Point Fire Station received a
call about the inferno at about 5:15 a.m. this morning, May 23, and quickly
rushed to the scene.

There, they reportedly met the building gutted by flames. The intensity of the
inferno was too much for them to handle, and therefore warranted assistance
from colleagues at the St. John’s station.

With both sets of firefighters battling the blaze, it was subsequently brought
under control, but the building could not be saved.

It is alleged that the owners had left the West Coast Village business, located
off the Valley Road, at about an hour before the blaze started.

Allegedly the business, which swung open its doors in 2022, was uninsured.

Reports say that other buildings were in close proximity to the Gentleman’s
Club but were not impacted by the fire.
