Table Hill farm raided overnight, with thieves making off with $1,300 worth of breadfruits and eggplants

Over $1,200 worth of produce was stolen from a Table Hill Gordon farm by
unknown persons.

Reports say that officers from the Liberta Police Station are investigating
the complaint made by the Liberta farmer.

Further reports are that the perpetrators stole a quantity of breadfruits and
eggplants, valued at $1,300, between 6 p.m. on April 9 and 5:15 a.m. the
following day.

Allegedly, the intruders went to the eastern and southern sides of the farm
where the trees were loaded and – using an implement – removed the
produce.

A search reportedly was carried out for the produce and for any suspicious
persons, but without success.

Across the island, crop farmers continue to struggle against praedial
larceny, losing thousands of dollars in the process.
