Two suspects nabbed in getaway car after hold-up and robbery of Cooks Extension shop

A Cooks Extension man is the latest victim of an armed robbery,
which was reported to the Grays Farm Police Station, and two men
suspected to have been involved in the offence have been detained.

The man reported that he and several others had been robbed by
two masked gunmen at their business place, Little Town Shop, of an
undisclosed amount in coins and cash and other items.

Reportedly, this offence occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on March 15 at
Cooks Extension.

It alleged that several persons were in his shop when the two
bandits pulled up in a green Toyota Yaris. They exited the
vehicle with their faces covered.

The masked men are described as being of a slim build, about six
feet tall, and fair in complexion, and were wearing grey long-sleeved
shirts.

Reports say the bandit with dreadlocks was holding a brown small-
handled knife, and the other robber held a small black handgun.

They pointed the gun at the businessman and demanded money.

Allegedly, he allowed them behind the counter, where they took an
undisclosed amount of coins, cash and other items, then ran out of
the business place and made good their escape in the vehicle.

While in the district, a green Toyota Yaris motor car, A40630, which
fit the description, was intercepted – along with the two suspects,
Zamir O’Garro, who is well known to the police, and Hewlette
Weathered, both of John Hughes.

They were taken into custody, along with the vehicle, which was
later processed by the Fingerprint and Evidence Recovery Unit.
Several coins and cash were found, along with drugs and one pistol
with matching rounds.
