COVID-19 corpse, alleged to be ‘missing’ over two years ago, is ‘found’ among unclaimed remains

In relation to the remains of Renal Delva – now dead for almost two
and a half years – a family member had complained, in October
2021, that his body was missing, after he allegedly had died from
COVID-19 complications.

The relative had informed REAL News, then, that both funeral
homes had been checked, and alleged that Delva’s body was with
neither.

At the time, our newsroom was castigated by the medical director of
the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, Dr. Albert Duncan, for reporting
the family’s concerns.

Dr. Duncan claimed that there was no record of the hospital being
contacted by any member of Delva’s family, inquiring about him.
He noted that “the funeral home of their choice” would have been
the first place to start the search “since the body of the deceased was
released in their care.”

Following Delva’s death, he said, the appropriate family member
was duly notified, and Barnes Funeral Home was selected for burial
arrangements. He added that relatives had also been in contact with
the undertakers about the arrangements for burial.

Today, however, persons are asking why the family is now being
notified to claim Delva’s body when he allegedly died from COVID-
19, and the burial of such corpses was mandated to take place
within 72 hours.
