Four youth, known to the police, to appear in court on charges related to discovery of firearm and ammunition

Four young men, two of whom are well-known to the Police and the
court, are due to appear in court today, January 25, on charges of
unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Jointly arrested and charged are Zamir O’Garro of Bethesda,
Nquanze Armstrong of John Hughes, Tristan Armstrong of Tyrells,
and Zykia George of Falmouth for unlawfully having in their
possession one 30-30 Winchester rifle and five matching rounds of
ammunition.

The quartet was taken into custody on Wednesday, January 24, after
a search warrant was executed at a John Hughes home.

Reports say that officers – from the Criminal Investigations
Department, K-9 Unit, and the Fingerprint and Evidence Recovery
Unit department – went on duty at John Hughes at about 12:45 p.m.

There, a warrant was executed on the premises of one of the
Armstrong males, and Nquanze and O’Garro were present at the
time.

During the search, the illegal weapon and ammunition were found.
It is alleged that two bicycles and one hooded shirt, among other
items, also were found and seized.

The pair were arrested on suspicion of possession of ammunition
and taken to St. John’s Police Station.
