Financial Comptroller Roger Tonge appointed to head APUA in the interim until replacement for Esworth Martin is found

A week after former General Manager Esworth Martin was sent on
forced pre-retirement leave by the Cabinet, a temporary
replacement has been found.

The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) has announced that
Roger Tonge has been appointed as the interim manager.

APUA says that Tonge steps into the leadership role as the former
general manager embarks on retirement leave.

Tonge has a background as the Authority’s financial comptroller and
brings that expertise to guide the organisation during this
transitional period, the Cabinet says.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne had indicated that someone would
replace Martin initially and that a permanent appointment to the
position would be made subsequently.
