Browne’s Avenue senior citizen alleges he was robbed and injured in his own home by masked intruders

The Police continue to probe an incident in which a senior citizen
allegedly was attacked and robbed by masked men.

Reports say a 70-year-old man was accosted in his Browne’s Avenue
home by two cutlass-wielding intruders and robbed of $600 before
they fled from the scene on foot.

The man reportedly had to be taken to the hospital for treatment of
injuries he sustained during the ordeal; but while he was shaken by
the assault, his injuries are said to be not very serious.

The Police are still searching for the alleged robbers and are
appealing to anyone with information about the incident to contact
the nearest station.

Lawmen are also urging residents to ensure that their homes are
well secured, especially during this Carnival season.
