Police execute warrant and find cannabis, paraphernalia and cash in Anchorage Road apartment; two persons detained

Several people were taken into police custody after search warrants were executed at premises they occupy.

On Sunday, July 24, at about 3:50 a.m., officers reportedly executed a warrant at an Anchorage Road apartment at which drugs allegedly were found.

During their search, the lawmen reportedly also found a quantity of plant material resembling the controlled drug cannabis.

One vacuum sealer, a digital scale, a quantity of plastic seal bags, a notebook, over EC$4,000 and US$70 were also found.

As a result of this find, a man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and taken to the St. John’s Police Station.

Meanwhile, officers executed another warrant at the home of a Buckleys woman, and she was arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of robbery.

Reports say the Police found a Samsung A21s Smartphone, which is believed to have been taken during a robbery.

That warrant reportedly was executed on Sunday, July 24, at 5 am.
