Police continue investigations into various reports of sexual assault, but have charged a 35-year-old with six counts of rape

Investigations into an indecent assault against a teenager are ongoing, while the Police have made an arrest into another incident involving a 14-year-old.

Reports say that the mother of a 17-year-old girl informed the Police that she had been indecently assaulted by a man with whom she is familiar, on the morning of June 28.

Meanwhile, an arrest has been made with regard to an earlier reported incident in which a 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted between January 1 and 31 at All Saints.

Officers have since arrested and charged a 35-year-old man with six counts of rape.

Senator Johnathan Joseph is speaking out against these assaults and their long-term impact on victims, especially young girls. He notes that women have to live with this trauma and its effects for the rest of their lives.

Many residents are asking what has prompted the recent spate of rapes; but others say the increase has been in the reporting of the crime and not in the act, itself.
