John E. St. Luce Financial Centre falls prey to thief who removes
batteries from solar lights on premises

Thieves reportedly have made off with three solar batteries from the
John E. St Luce Financial Centre, with the incident being reported to
the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) by the centre’s
manager.

Reports say an intruder went onto the Factory Road compound and
removed the batteries at about 8 p.m. on December 2.

Apparently, it was a Carnival Gardens resident who reported that a
solar battery had been found on the western side of her brother’s
house, next to the centre.

The woman reportedly recalls observing that the lights were off on
the compound during the course of that night.

Reportedly, the perpetrator had used force to pry open the casing
that held the batteries and had thrown one of them over the fence
and into the woman’s yard.
