UPP resumes rallies with Thursday’s Right Choice for Your Pocket event at King George V Ground in Rural West

Following a two-month hiatus, the United Progressive Party (UPP) will be hitting the campaign trail once again, with its seventh political rally – The Right Choice for Your Pocket – which will be held on Thursday, June 30, at the King George V Ground in the St. John’s Rural West constituency.

This rally will not be a drive-in edition, as was the case with the six rallies held since the beginning of the year. Rather, supporters will be able to congregate in the traditional “public-meeting” style, while being asked to employ the standard COVID-19 precautions.

The rally will spotlight the UPP Candidate for St. John’s Rural West, Senator Richard Lewis, who will detail some of his plans for the constituency and the Party’s programmes for the country’s overall development, George Wehner, UPP Mobilization Officer, says.

Wehner is encouraging the residents of other constituencies to come out and support the event. Those who do not have transportation will be assisted to get there, he says, as buses will be available in each constituency to take them to the venue and then back home.

Meanwhile, Harold Lovell, the Party’s Political Leader, says Thursday’s rally is not one that should be missed.
