Man accused of breaking into Twist Mall businesses and stealing goods valued at over $40k will appear in Court today

A man is expected to appear before the St. John’s Magistrates Court today, June 24, to answer to larceny charges.

Claude Joseph, 45, of no fixed place of abode, is accused of stealing a quantity of electronics, clothing, and sex toys from two stores in the Twist Mall on Redcliffe Street.

The value of the stolen items amounts to over $40,000.

The Police arrested and charged Joseph on Thursday, June 23, after he assisted them with investigations into both incidents.

He is alleged to have broken into Adeyemi Mobile and stolen a number of electronic items and clothing, valued at $28,806, reportedly on June 20.

Additionally, he is accused of breaking into Play Time Erotic and stealing more electronic items, clothing and erotic toys to the value of $11,635.
