Deputy Commissioner Wade reportedly stabbed while ‘parting fight’ between two men
The second in command of the Police Force, Deputy Commissioner Albert Wade, is nursing injuries after reportedly being stabbed multiple times on Thursday night, December 2.
Wade is now recuperating at home after being treated and discharged from the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, since his injuries are not life threatening.
Reports are that the senior police officer sustained these injuries while attempting to separate two men who were fighting at the junction of Thames and Church Streets.
It is alleged that he received stab wounds to his hands and head during the incident, which reportedly occurred about 8:30 p.m.
No details of any arrests or charges laid against the men have been given.
