Teen girl remains missing and Police remind public it is an offence to hold or harbour a minor

Shaunelle Massiah, 15, reportedly has been missing for almost a week, and the Police continue to solicit the public’s assistance in finding her.

The teenager is reported to have left home on Tuesday, November 9, and has not been seen or heard from since.

Teens, mostly girls, often go missing in Antigua and Barbuda and are usually returned home without charges being brought against anyone.

However, the Police are reminding the public that every effort should be made to encourage minors to return to their places of residence, or the Police should be notified of their whereabouts without delay.

Persons are also being warned that it is a criminal offence for anyone to hold or harbour a minor against their will.

Anyone knowing Shaunelle’s whereabouts is asked to contact the nearest police station or the Youth Intervention Unit at 562-4817.
