Road accidents keep Police busy over the weekend, but no serious injuries reported

The Police were kept busy this weekend with a number of road collisions, one of which has left a pedestrian nursing injuries.

The Emergency Medical Service rushed the 48-year-old man to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for treatment after he was struck by a silver Toyota car on Old Parham Road, Saturday night, November13.

Reports are that he sustained a number of bruises; however, his injuries are not considered life threatening.

The incident occurred in the vicinity of the JSC Sports Complex at around 7:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, there were at least two other accidents in which the drivers sustained minor injuries.

A white Toyota Glanza Turbo crashed into a lamp post on the Anchorage Road on Sunday morning, November 14, after the driver reportedly lost control, effectively writing off the vehicle.

Additionally, a blue BMW ran off the All Saints Road and crashed, losing its front bumper in the process.

The Police are investigating all three incidents.
