Chief Health Inspectors says weekend food services will be monitored closely to prevent breach of restaurant regulations

The Chief Health Inspector (CHI) is putting restaurants and other places where food is served on notice that the Government’s policy on in-house dining will be enforced, especially during the upcoming Independence weekend.

This holiday is known as a time when a variety of cuisine, more particularly local dishes, is served and scores of people engage in cooking activities.

However, CHI Sharon Martin says that no one should be allowed in any food establishment for in-house dining without first presenting their vaccination identification card.

Martin says that health inspectors will be out in their numbers to ensure that both businesses and patrons are abiding by the mandate.

Martin says that residents face stiff fines for not complying with the regulation.
