A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of an intruder who held up a Villa family before making off with a number of items.
As a surveillance video of the incident makes its way across social media, the family is desperately seeking information in order to retrieve their property – a power drill and keys to a vehicle.
According to reports, a man broke into the home shortly before 9p.m. on Saturday, March 27; held the two female occupants at knife-point; and demanded money.
However, both women managed to escape to their respective rooms, locked themselves inside, and called for help.
The closed-circuit television footage shows the man on the verandah before he goes through the front door, returns, and enters again. Footage also shows him running from the house and scaling the fence to make his escape.
However, shortly before the intruder leaves, a female can be seen running across the yard and through the gate.Reportedly, she is one of the occupants, and escaped through her bedroom window before running to a neighbour for help.
The Police, who are now conducting investigations, are searching for the man. He was dressed in green pants and a long-sleeved shirt and was wearing a red tam. He was also wearing a mask, which covered most of his face.
