FIGURES CONTINUE TO FLUCTUATE, 28 NEW CORONAVIRUS

Within a three-day period, the country recorded 28 new COVID-19 cases, with the dashboard of Friday, March 26, showing six positive cases.

Cases for Wednesday, March 24,  amounted to only three, while Thursday, March 25, confirmed 19 new infections.

The figures continue to fluctuate from single to double digits within the space of days.  This is because testing kits are running low at Mount St. John Medical Centre, an inside source alleges.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health says 181 samples were processed at the hospital, where the positive cases were recorded.

Lab-confirmed cases of the virus now stand at 1,128 of which 316 are active cases. Close to 800 people have recovered from the virus, to date.

Meanwhile, no one was vaccinated on Friday, leaving that total at 26,424.
