Virus-related deaths increase by one, bringing total to 105

Antigua and Barbuda has recorded another COVID-19 death, bringing the country’s official total to 105.

The Ministry of Health’s most recent dashboard, released on the weekend, confirmed the death.   And although the hospital has not released any details, social-media posts have revealed the victim’s identity as a female, reportedly in her 40s, and the mother of several children.

Meanwhile, over a three-day period, from November 3 to November 5, there were 19 lab-confirmed new COVID 19 cases.

Therefore, the total number of cases in Antigua and Barbuda is 4,091, inclusive of 134 active cases. There are 16 hospitalized cases, nine of which are considered mild, four moderate and three severe.

Recovered cases have increased that total to 3,852.

Meanwhile, 50,943 individuals are fully vaccinated, while 6,115 have received their first dose.
