Current political leaders are impediment to prosperity of both islands, says Barbuda’s Mussington

Coming out of celebrations of the 40th anniversary of political independence, John Mussington says this country will not prosper under the men and women now in office, since they seem to care only about themselves – and not the people.

Mussington, the well-known Barbuda activist,  says he is hoping for the day when both islands can co-exist and Barbudans are treated as equals.  But one of the biggest problems the country now faces is the lack of proper leadership, he says.

Mussington says he is optimistic that the country will be governed, once again, by persons with integrity.
